It’s an honor to announce that Two Hat’s founder Chris Priebe and I have been invited to speak at the upcoming online Unity for Humanity Summit, happening on October 21-22. It is a free, two-day online event that brings together creators, activists, nonprofits, funders, philanthropists, and brands who are harnessing real-time 3D technology to power social impact and real-world change. We are excited to be a part of an incredible host of speakers, including bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell!
Chris and I are part of the panel “The power of positive play: Online child safety, joined by industry colleagues Angela Hession (Global Head of Xbox Safety and Trust at Xbox), Kimberly Voll (Executive Director and cofounder at Fair Play Alliance/Stray Bombay Company), Laura Higgins (Director of Community Safety and Digital Civility at Roblox), and Weszt Hart (Head of Player Dynamics at Riot Games).
We’ll discuss how games and shared online communities offer children incredible experiences for learning and play, and how the games industry can help to build defenses against the disruptive behaviors of those who spread hate, threaten or abuse our most valuable resource – future changemakers.
Our session is happening on Wed Oct 21, 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM PDT. You can register for the free online summit here.
We hope to see you there!
